Celebrating the achievements of our senior nurses and midwives

We were delighted to welcome 22 nursing and midwifery leaders from across North Central London (NCL) at a special celebration event to mark their achievements in completing the NCL Fellowship Programme.

Led by Senior Nurse Jenny Halse and Consultant Dr Abi Masterson, the course offered nurses and midwives an insight into system leadership and the power of enacting that leadership across health and care organisations.

The 9-month training, which started in June 2023, consisted of tailored 1-1 coaching, mentoring and the chance to lead on a 6-month long innovation project. Fellows will now continue working together to share their learning with colleagues.

Among the group of senior nurses who took part in the programme was Carol Sibanda, Clinical Team Manager in the Primary Care Psychotherapy Consultation Service (PCPCS). Following the event, she said:

This has been one of the most comprehensive leadership programmes I have taken part in. It is paramount for anyone in management and in leadership to look within and be part of a system that motivates and guides practice.

As an NCL Fellow now, I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to embark on such a meaningful Leadership training.”

Antonia Carding-Wright, Associate Director of Nursing, said:

It was a privilege to host this celebratory event. This fantastic group of leaders showcased the impact and system wide learning through presentations to a wide group of executive leaders from across North Central London.

We wish all the graduates a heartfelt congratulations for completing the course and I look forward to seeing how it supports all their future nursing careers.
