Art at the Tavistock and Portman
Wander around the hallways of the Tavistock Centre and you will see works of art hanging along every corridor and bold stabs of colour in our public spaces. Art plays an important role to the life of our Trust, and we are always looking to find new ways to engage our staff, our patients and everyone connected with our work.
Gina Southgate: Landscapes, Abstracts, Live Gig Paintings
Well known to staff and students at The Tavistock, Gina Southgate returns for her ninth exhibition in the library corridor. Best known for her live gig painting in the international jazz arena where she has painted for three decades, Gina carries this live energy to her landscapes, which are painted on location, and her abstracts that sit at the core of her studio-based practice.
Southgate painted the commissioned pieces The level triptych, which hangs at the foot of the ground floor staircase and Into the calm, the diptych which hangs in the first floor corridor.
This exhibition runs from 11 September-4 October.
