The Tavistock and Portman is starting 2024 with an imaginative exhibition of collages, from artist Gareth Schweitzer.

We’re on Each Other’s Team, a collection of 18 collages on paper by Gareth, will run until 31 January, at the Tavistock Centre’s well known art corridor. There will be a private viewing this Friday from 5pm.

Gareth said: “With just a pair of scissors or a digital selection tool, collage lets you re-make the world. It’s a powerful recombination device. It allows you to take back control of represented reality to create a parallel universe of your own making, a world of pure visual pleasure.”

The Tavistock Centre’s gallery hosts temporary art exhibitions by various artists every month. The Trust also has a permanent art collection, displayed around its building, in corridors and rooms.

Art plays an important role in helping the Trust to engage with staff, patients and everyone connected with its work.
