The data you have requested is already publicly available on our website, within our published contracts register, which may be reached via the following link: Contracts register – Tavistock and Portman
Section 21(1) of the Freedom of Information Act exempts disclosure of information that is reasonably accessible by other means, and the terms of the exemption mean that we do not have to consider whether or not it would be in the public interest for you to have the information as it is readily available for public review.
Please note that the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is not an acute hospital.
We are a small specialist NHS mental health trust with a focus on training and education, as well as providing a range of mental health services and therapies for children and their families, young people and adults.
We provide outpatient, and mainly psychological services via talking therapies. We do not provide acute services, nor inpatient patient services, nor detention facilities, and do not have a Pharmacy nor A&E departments. This has a bearing on the number of Digital Systems the Trust uses.

- Digital Priorities & Transformation Initiatives
Please provide details of the Trust’s current digital transformation priorities and any major programmes underway (e.g., EPR optimisation, cloud migration, AI, automation, data platform development).
Please note that the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is currently working towards a merger with another organisation to strengthen us for the future, and this is further explained on our website: Our future options – Tavistock and Portman
The Trust does not hold information which corresponds to your questions about digital priorities and transformation initiatives, and cannot therefore provide substantive answers.
We are in the process of finalising the Trust’s IT Strategy and are taking it through internal committees for agreement and sign off. This process will require additional input from the proposed merger before release, as mentioned above, and therefore there is no definitive timescale for completion of our IT Strategy.
As indicated in our response to Question 1, our Trust’s register of current contracts is publicly available on our website, Contracts register – Tavistock and Portman which you may wish to peruse.
