Appointed December 2024 – first term

I sought to train & worked at the Tavistock for the last 6 years & am committed to its development. In my personal & professional development I have gained greatly from my involvement with the Tavistock, & with my experience & abilities would like to contribute to its development & how it can best serve those who seek its services in the future.

I’m a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry consultant, specialising in Crisis & Liaison at Barnet hospital, & also training in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy at the Tavistock. Prior to this I was a consultant at the Royal Free hospital & also worked with a Tavistock service. Before becoming a consultant, I sought to complete my 3+ years registrar training at the Tavistock, primarily due to the psychotherapeutic teaching it offered.

I have worked with a number of the trust’s Child & Adolescent services, & with staff, & know the institution well. I would bring my range of experience of training & working, in different capacities, at the trust, my experience of working at many other acute general hospitals & mental health trusts, & that of a parent of now young adult children & local resident.
