Peter Ptashko

Elected for a first term: 1 May 2025

I wish to run as Public Governor during this crucial upcoming period for the Trust. With a merger on the way we must ensure that it works for local people, patients and important stakeholders in the community – including Camden Council – and I will play my part in this. At a time of great uncertainty in the world, this merger will secure the legacy and financial future of the Tavistock and Portman and we cannot afford to lose sight of this.

I bring 20 years of governance experience on boards of charities, schools, social enterprises, businesses and healthcare trusts and have embraced a career in social change – putting people and environment first, with a sustainable financial legacy behind them, so that we can keep on creating the change that is needed. This is especially important for this trust right now and I will do everything in my power to ensure as smooth a possible transition over what has been a challenging period.

I run my own international sustainability practice, have lived and worked all of the world, and helped many organisations and communities make tough, resilient and sustainable choices about their futures. I want to continue bringing this experience, as well as my background in mergers, to the work of the trust. I look forward to working for you and securing your support.

Peter had previously served a 1st Term as Appointed (Stakeholder) Governor representing Camden Council.
