Elected 1 May 2025 – first term

I am passionate about student participation and contribution in shaping academic institutions and student experiences.

I represent students as I strongly believe students are a key stakeholder and should have a voice in the functioning and success of academic institutions.

I bring a unique combination of social work and legal expertise and experience of studying at diverse academic institutions in Africa, the UK and Europe. Over the years, I have represented my communities in different ways for example as a Mentor within an Ethnic Minority Staff Group, a member of an Independent Police Advisory Group and a Student Organising Group. Through these roles I was able to strongly represent my community and contribute often unheard voices, different ways of thinking and seeing, helpfully challenge the organisations for positive change.
