Tavistock and Portman psychiatrists awarded Fellowships

Three of the Tavistock and Portman’s psychiatrists have been awarded respected Fellowships from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Dr Gurleen Bhatia, Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Jo Stubley, Consultant Medical Psychotherapist, and Dr Liz Searle, Deputy Medical Director were elected as fellows of the College, as a mark of distinction and recognition of their contributions to psychiatry.

Liz said: “We are delighted to be honoured as Fellows by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Thank you to the Tavistock colleagues who supported this nomination, which was very humbling. It was lovely to attend the ceremony at the College to feel celebrated and valued for the hard and challenging work we do as psychiatrists.”

The College says its Fellowship is awarded after “clearly demonstrated and evidenced significant contributions to the core purposes of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.”
