Celebrating 30 years of Tavistock Consulting
Tavistock Consulting is our specialist organisational development and change consultancy which works with clients across the health, corporate, education and third sectors as well as in central and local government.
A celebratory event took place last week to mark 30 years since Tavistock Consulting’s opening.
The event, “Future proofing the NHS workforce: Understanding motivations and team dynamics”, opened with a welcome from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust’s Chief Executive Officer Michael Holland, followed by Jon Stokes, who established Tavistock Consulting.
We heard from clients of Tavistock Consulting including Matthew Trainer, Chief Executive at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals and the Health Service Journal’s ‘CEO of the year’ and Louise Ashley, former Chief Executive of Homerton Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, both of whom spoke highly of the individual and system wide positive impact of working with Tavistock Consulting over a number of years.

Speaking on 30 years of Tavistock Consulting, Charlotte Williams, said;
“As we celebrate thirty years of Tavistock Consulting, we’re more committed than ever to our vision of an NHS in which staff can thrive, where care remains humane in the face of mounting pressures, and where the noble mission of the health service can be sustained for generations to come.
“In times of such complexity, uncertainty and transition, the approach we use at Tavistock Consulting can provide a distinctive and valuable way to frame leadership and management.”
