Art exhibition: Structures by Man and Nature

2 September to 2 October
Tavistock Centre

June Corpuz is a contemporary artist and printmaker with particular interest in structural and architectural forms. She is largely self-taught but has attended University of the Art London Central Saint Martins’ short courses and continues to attend Hampstead School of Art. Her focus has been in creating thought-provoking etchings and linocuts of structures/buildings around London and Europe. She has exhibited in London, Cambridge and Bristol.

Alla Rubitel is an artist and a clinician at the Portman Clinic. She studied printmaking at Hampstead School of Art, Morley College, School of Traditional Arts and City & Guilds of London art school. In this collaborative show, Alla presents her printmaking work. Bold yet fluid and organic, the intensity of dark silhouettes both highlights and attenuates details in the images in an unpredictable way, creating colour monochromes – thus drawing the viewer’s attention to the intricate interplay of visible structures and allusions to liminal spaces within.

The exhibition runs until 2 October 2024 in the library corridor on the ground floor at the Tavistock Centre, from Monday to Friday between 8am and 8pm. Don’t miss the private view on Thursday 26 September from 5pm! Join us for a drink, a nibble, and a chance to meet the artists. All are welcome!
