Art exhibition: David Taylor – Escapes

8 July to 8 August
Tavistock Centre

David Taylor is Professor Emeritus at the University of Brighton and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He grew up in Oxford and painted from an early age. He now lives in London where he paints from his studio in Brent. David’s abstract paintings, mainly in acrylic, have a strong emotional dynamic, and many offer references to sea and landscape.

David studied painting at the Universities of Bath, Manchester and the London School of Economics. He has exhibited at the Highgate Gallery and Hampstead School of Art, and his work is held in private collections in the UK. In his solo exhibition Escapes at the Tavistock Centre this summer, David will show his abstract paintings of land, water and skyscapes.

Private view: Thursday 10 July, 6pm to 8pm
