Whole Family Service
A CAMHS team supporting families within Camden Local Authority Services
Who are we?
We are a specialist CAMHS service working within the London Borough of Camden alongside children and young people’s services. We specialise in working with families facing complex difficulties, who may already have been working with several professionals and may struggle to access community services. We provide specialist interventions for families where there are issues related to complex trauma and attachment. Our service is comprised of two teams:
- The Whole Family Team (CAMHS for over 5s) - (see below)
- The Whole Family Team with Perinatal Specialism (CAMHS for under 5s) - (view page)
Whole Family Team (CAMHS for over 5s)
This team is comprised of CAMHS Clinicians that work with children aged over 5 years old across a number of local authority teams.
This includes the following:
- Children’s Safeguarding and Social Work teams, including Multiagency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and Early Help teams (Families in Focus, Transformation Team)
- Camden secondary and primary Pupil Referral Units
- Youth Offending Service
It is a multidisciplinary team made up of the following CAMHS Clinicians: Clinical Psychologists; Family Therapists; Child and Adult Psychotherapists; Social Workers and Child and Adult Psychiatrists. The team is based within the local authority and so have good links with lots of local organisations. Having these connections makes for better outcomes in children, young people and their families.
