Work with us

Thinking of applying for a role at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust? See our vacancies and find out about all the benefits of working with us.

Our vacancies

We are committed to developing a strong learning culture, in which you will be able to achieve your full potential, and which will increase your job satisfaction and support career development. As such, we provide excellent training and development opportunities, which meet the operational and strategic objectives of the organisation, as well as your own learning aspirations and needs.

Join our staff bank

The demand for bank staff offers a lot of benefits which are not necessarily available to substantive workers or even non-bank agency workers. As a member of our bank staff, you will be able to choose the shifts you want to take on, giving you a great deal of flexibility when deciding to work days over nights, or weekdays over weekends. Many substantive workers also choose to work on the bank, either at their own trust or another NHS trust. This gives them some variety in where they work, but also provides them a chance to earn more doing the work they love.

In terms of career progression, our staff bank gives you a chance not only to gain NHS experience, but also to work in a specialism that you may be looking to develop. Working in a NHS staff bank can often lead to lines of work which are longer term contracts, meaning when a permanent opportunity opens up, bank staff are perfectly placed to fill the role. We aim to make our staff bank equally beneficial for both the Trust and for you as a bank member.
