  1. What was the nature of the work undertaken by Flair (e.g. racial equity training), for which your NHS Trust was Flair’s client?

The Trust did not directly engage Flair, they were a named subcontractor to one of our suppliers under a contract between the Trust and 7 Traits Leadership Learning Ltd (7TLL), to conduct an external review on racial equality within the Trust and provide research to inform and develop the Trust’s anti-racism work going forward.

7TLL’s brief was to undertake a comprehensive diagnostic piece of work about the experiences of Black, Asian and ethnically diverse staff which went beyond the NHS staff survey and other informal approaches, to understand their lived experiences and consider the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on this group.

7TLL engaged a group of four sub-contractors to collaborate with them on this project,  and this group called themselves the Colour Brave Avengers (CBA)..

Flair was one of these four sub-contractors, engaged to deploy their own anonymous survey and dashboard products to produce:

  • An anonymised anti-racism survey
  • Project management support on maximizing responses rates and stakeholder buy-in
  • Bespoke recommendations tailored to their survey findings.
  • Dashboard outcome measures of true anti-racist culture and quantifying performance across racial awareness, racist behaviours, racial inclusion-barriers, Racial Diversity
  1. On what date/s did Flair undertake the work referred to in [1] above?

The engagement of 7 Traits Leadership Learning Limited began in February 2021.  As indicated in Question 1 above, the Trust did not directly engage Flair, they were a sub-contractor of 7 Traits Leadership Learning Ltd (7TLL).

  1. Please provide a copy of the material provided by Flair (including slides in a slide deck)referring to: (i) Jews, (ii) anti-Semitism, and/or (iii) Israel.

The focus of their work was not on these three words/themes, and thus were not expressly mentioned in this work.

  1. In the event that further reading was suggested by Flair in relation to any of the topics identified in [3] above, please specify the suggested reading (including the name of recommended authors, individuals and organisations).
