During these time periods, we did not collect incident information that include ages of patients. However, there were no sexual safety incidents recorded by the Trust during the timeframe where the alleged victim was a patient aged 60 or over and the alleged perpetrator was a staff member (including agency staff).

No.
- Have staff received training on dealing with sexual abuse against
people with dementia?
Adult safeguarding training is mandatory for all and clinical staff dealing with adult patients must do L3 training in accordance with the RCN “Roles and Competencies for Health Care Staff”. This training does cover abuse by staff but not specifically for people with dementia.
As a Trust primarily responsible for therapeutic and gender services we do not have clinical services specifically for dementia patients nor do we have any in-patient beds.
