Your questions, are not applicable to this Trust as we do not provide ADHD assessment nor screening services to which your questions relate.
The Tavistock and Portman is a small and specialist mental health Trust which provides mainly outpatient psychological services, and no acute services nor inpatient care. We do not have a dedicated service dealing with the treatment of ADHD – these services are more likely to be provided by acute Mental Health Trusts.
Whilst we would work with patients who have ADHD needs as part of an overall mental health presentation, our Trust would not be the referral pathway for ADHD as the presenting condition, and we would not record these details in a way that is electronically reportable, because this information would be held within freehand within patient records, which are not electronically searchable.
Patients with suspected ADHD would be referred to the (locally situated) Royal Free hospital for assessment/diagnosis, but we do not perform the diagnosis ourselves.
For the sake of clarity we have answers your 4 questions as follows:
- Number of ADHD assessment referrals received.
Not applicable – see explanatory paragraphs above.
2. Number of individuals who were screened for ADHD.
Not applicable – see explanatory paragraphs above.
3. Number of individuals who were assessed for ADHD
Not applicable – see explanatory paragraphs above.
4. Number of those assessed who received an ADHD diagnosis.
Not applicable – see explanatory paragraphs above.
