Most Clinically Impactful Estates Incident Reported in ERIC Return

Reference: 25-26360

Date response sent: 20/11/2025

Details of enquiry

You compile data from your trust which is then submitted and published in the Estates Return Information Collection (ERIC) data spreadsheet.  One of the categories on this spreadsheet is “Most clinically impactful estates incident” and if you had such an incident you were then required to provide data on the type of incident, the cost to rectify it, etc.  My question is if you reported on such an incident (I am only interested in the ‘most’ clinically impactful incident) please provide me with the following information:

  1. The dates when this incident occurred.
  2. Where it took place.
  3. A one sentence summary of what the incident was and how it impacted the hospital, and
  4. A copy of any report on the incident that was produced after the event to explain what the incident was and how it impacted the hospital/trust. This should be limited to just reports that were produced either by or for members of your Trust’s executive management board
  5. If there were reports on the incident that do not fit into part 4 of my question then please just list the titles of these reports and the dates that they were published

NOTE: If you had submitted data on more than one “most” clinically impactful incident because you have a number of sites each with their own “most” clinically impactful incident I would require you to answer these questions repeatedly for each site that you have responsibility for.
