London Weighting Allowance and Doctors & Dentists T&Cs

Regarding the London Weighting Allowance paid to doctors employed under the “Doctors and dentists in training terms and conditions (England) 2016” contract within your Trust.  I am requesting the following information:

 

  1.   2. Please provide a breakdown of the London Weighting Allowance rates for each hospital, indicating whether they attract Inner London (£2,162 per annum), Outer London (£527 per annum), or Fringe (£149 per annum) rates.

We do not run any hospitals.  The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health Trust, and not a hospital.  We provide outpatient, and mainly psychological, services.  We do not provide acute services, nor inpatient patient services, nor detention facilities,  and do not have an  A&E department.

We pay London Weighting Allowance for all of our sites in greater London.

We do not pay London Weighting Allowance for any of our sites outside the London area, (eg Leeds, Bristol).

  1. Please provide a breakdown of the London Weighting Allowance rates for each hospital, indicating whether they attract Inner London (£2,162 per annum), Outer London (£527 per annum), or Fringe (£149 per annum) rates.

For our sites in Greater London, we pay Inner London Weighting Allowance rate (£2,162 per annum for full time employees)
