- One detail that was missing was the rent per sq ft or sqm. If possible, could you please also provide that information
- I attach an advertisement from shortly before Tavistock/Portman took up the lease with a proposed rent. . If you are unwilling to reveal the precise rent under FOI, but can provide a range or indication if it was substantially different from the rate advertised, please do so.
- I’m also somewhat confused by your statement that you signed “an underlease”. My understanding was that XX XX owned the freehold of the building, and sold the freehold to the new owner. Was it that some other part of the NHS was the principal lessor, and Tavistock/Portman obtained an underlease from that?

The Trust confirms that the rent paid was £155,380 per annum

The Trust’s legal team prepared an underlease with BCNO and their legal team. The Trust does not hold information regarding the reasons for an underlease being agreed to rather than a Lease.
