Details of enquiry

For each calendar year in which data are held, please provide the following statistics on the ages of referred patients (in years):
1. Mean
2. Mode
3. Standard deviation
4. Skewness (per the SKEW function in Excel)
5. Kurtosis (per the KURT function in Excel)
6. Minimum
7. Maximum
8. First quartile (Q1)
9. Median
10. Third quartile (Q3)
11. Interquartile range (IQR)

Please provide these data separately for patients assigned male at birth and those assigned female at birth, and in combination regardless of sex assigned at birth. Please provide these data in a spreadsheet (CSV) file to make it easier to analyse them.

The GIDS service closed on 31st March 2024. In January 2025, the Trust responded to this same question about statistics, as specified in your question, on the ages of referrals to GIDS for all years for which data is held.
