I would like the organisation to review my freedom of information request below, that’s focused around contract data for services around facilities management specifically around the services below:

 

  1. Office and building cleaning – Service contract that is focused around office, commercial and building cleaning services.
  2. Lift service and maintenance – Service contract for lift service and maintenance.
  3. Food – Service contract that is focused around catering services.
  4. General waste services contracts – The organisation’s primary general waste service contract.
  5. Laundry services – where clothes and linen can be washed and ironed.

  • Contractor: Integra combined with Trust-employed staff at some sites
  • Rolling Annual Contract £180k per annum, rates benchmark undertaken in Spring 2024
  • Labour only contract

  1. Lift service and maintenance – Service contract for lift service and maintenance.
  • Contractor: Target Building Services
  • Part of a tendered general services contract with option to extend until December 2025
  • Total annual spend on left element £10.3k
  • Lifts are at one site only
  • Brand name Otis; two passenger lifts and one goods lift
  • Contract Dates, April 2024 to December 2024 with option to extend contract to December 2025

  1. Food – Service contract that is focused around catering services.
  • Not applicable. The Trust does not contract out nor provide hospital catering or any other type of on-site catering facilities for patients.
  • Café services within our Tavistock Centre building are provided for staff and students only via a contracted service

 

  1. General waste services contracts – The organisation’s primary general waste service contract.
  • Contractor: Suez
  • Rolling Contract at £20k per annum
  • removal of domestic waste including recycling
  • 5 sites covered
  • Contract Duration: Trial period of 6-9 months and subject to data received, this could lead to changes in the existing rolling contract arrangement.
  • We are therefore currently unable to provide further information on this contract, as it may go out to competition and the Trust needs to ensure that there is no risk of supplier advantage or competitive edge by revealing such information at this time.
