- How many equality and diversity posts are employed in your trust?
There are two equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) roles:
- Associate Director of EDI – Band 8B
- EDI Manager – Band 6
- What is the cost of such posts and any necessary direct admin support?
There is no dedicated or other admin support for these roles.
The Trust will not share salaries of staff as this would constitute personal information which is exempt from disclosure under section 40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
This exemption covers personal information about third parties and where complying with the request would contravene the UK General Protection Regulation or the Data Protection Act 2018. Section 40 is an absolute exemption that does not require the authority to carry out the public interest test.
The Trust recognises that employees have a rightful expectation that details of their employment are treated confidentially by their employer.
We can however advise you that NHS Agenda for Change payscales can be accessed here Pay scales for 2024/25 | NHS Employers– please refer to the pay bands of these staff (in Q1) which are inclusive of Higher Cost Area Supplements (Inner HCAS) and then to calculate the overall cost add an additional 26-30% for employments costs.

£3,600 paid to annual membership for EDI advice and training course provision.
EDI Training is part of the Trust’s mandatory cyclic training requirements which is delivered on line by NHS England at no cost to ourselves.
Our EDI Team focus mainly on delivering cultural events to raise staff levels of awareness of EDI matters.
