The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust provides outpatient, and mainly psychological services via talking therapies. We do not provide acute services, nor inpatient patient services, nor detention facilities, and do not have an A&E department

We are a small specialist NHS mental health trust with a focus on training and education, as well as providing a full range of mental health services and therapies for children and their families, young people and adults.

  1. Is the DASH RIC used by your organisation as part of services (e.g. domestic abuse provision, victim support)?

Yes, staff are aware of the DASH and MARAC. It is not always staff working at this Trust who complete this assessment.

  1. Is the use of DASH RIC a standard provision or a requirement in contracts with third-party providers of relevant services (e.g. domestic abuse services, sheltered housing)?

No.  See response below.

  1. If the DASH checklist is used by your organisation, which organisation or organisations provide the training that includes DASH training? (e.g. Domestic Abuse Matters training)

In house training covers the availability of the DASH assessment but not the detail of completion. Often the DASH is completed by a domestic abuse agency and a trauma informed approach means this should not be duplicated.

  1. What is the cost to your organisation of such training? Please break this down by financial year over the last five years, as well as by organisation (if more than one organisation provides the relevant training)

DASH training is part of in-house domestic abuse / safeguarding training, and the cost is the time of the member of staff only
