It might interest you to know that our off-framework spend on Agency nurses is Nil and has been nil for the past few years and that we employ under 20 permanent nurses at any given point.

Any agency nurses hired would be for the duration of a recruitment lag and via an ON-framework contract.

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a small specialist mental health Trust, and not a hospital nor acute Trust.  We provide outpatient, and mainly psychological, services via talking therapies on a day clinic basis.

We do not employ RCNs HCA’s, RMN or Specialist RNs. We have not hired many agency nurses (RGN’s) for at least the last few of years, and then only whilst we have a permanent vacancy.
