It is important for your contextual understanding of our response below that you understand that the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is not a hospital.
We are a small, specialist mental health Trust, with a focus on training and education , which includes a post graduate programme for trainee doctors who provide staffing for one Child Psychiatry OOH rota (staffed by Specialist Trainees (STs) at nearby Acute Trusts within NCL). We do not have any other staff working shifts or rota, – all other staff work to a 5 day week FTE equivalent basis.
We also provide a range of outpatient, and mainly psychological, services, via day clinics, though we do not provide acute nor inpatient patient services, and do not have detention facilities, nor an A&E department.
Please note that with the exception of one OOH specialist trainee doctors rota, (as explained above), our staff do not work shifts or rotas, and our other services are provided Monday to Friday during daytime working hours.
