Trust CEO Paul Jenkins to retire at the end of September 2022

Paul Jenkins will be stepping down as CEO of the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust in September 2022 after eight years at the helm.

Paul said “In the next year I will be turning 60 and I have decided that it is the right time to take retirement from the NHS. It has been a great privilege to lead the Tavistock and Portman and to be part of an organisation which represents such an important and distinctive approach to mental health. It has been a particular honour to be at the helm as the Trust celebrated its centenary in 2020.”

John Lawlor, Chair designate, will be joining the Trust next month. The two will work together to see through the implementation of the Strategic Review and to help the organisation start the next stage of its journey. John will be overseeing the process to appoint a new Chief Executive.
