As an NHS organisation, we have a duty of care to our patients and those who are vulnerable.
In addition, we have a duty of care to our students, and wish to provide students with a safe, fair and comfortable training and education environment. We therefore have a student charter which expresses how we would expect you as a student to behave, and what you can expect from us.
We also have policies which cover all Trust students regarding professional suitability and student conduct:
Professional suitability procedure
The professional suitability procedure may be used in conjunction with the student conduct concerns procedure (below) or in isolation. It is designed to be used on all professional/clinical training courses. There is likely to be a policy regarding professional suitability for any professional statutory and regulatory body who might accredit your course. If your course is professionally accredited, their logo will be on the front cover of your course handbook which can be found on your course Moodle page.
Student conduct concerns procedure
The student conduct concerns procedure may be used in conjunction with the professional suitability procedure (above) or in isolation.
