Course 6: Perinatal training for psychologists and therapists in CAMHS and adult mental health teams

Course overview

This is a two day course in Perinatal Mental Health for psychologists and therapists in CAMHS and adult mental health teams which has been developed in line with the HEE PMH Competency Framework and aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to work with women with mental health problems who are  pregnant or in the year following childbirth.

The course will contain a series of presentations, led by visiting lecturers and other expert contributors and will cover maternal mental disorders, risk assessment and management. The importance of the baby’s development and perspective will be considered throughout all aspects of the course.
