The Projections Society: ‘Confusion of Tongues’ and ‘The Nest’

Event overview

At the 5th floor lecture theatre in The Tavistock Centre

Two short films: Confusion of Tongues and The Nest

Em Cooper is a British director and animator specialising in combining oil-painted animation with live-action film.

Em’s interest in communicating subjective experience informs her distinctive method of filmmaking. Her technique of combining oil paint animation with live-action film is often described as evocative of inner experience, and can be used to express thought or memory sequences within a film or documentary. Em’s animated work is entirely hand painted using oil-paint on glass.
