TEL team finalists for global award
Congratulations to our Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) team, who have been shortlisted for Association for Learning Technology’s Learning Technologist of the Year.

The awards celebrate and reward excellent practice and outstanding achievement in the learning technology field, and aim to promote intelligent use of Learning Technology on a national scale. Winners will be announced September 7.
Our TEL team joined
in 2014, and provide learning technologies and electronic resources for
our students and lecturers, including the learning platform Moodle, lecture
recordings, and electronic management of assessment. They also manage
audio visual equipment across our sites, and support clinical staff with
recording facilities.
In addition to our
clinical work, the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust has
approximately 1400 postgraduate students and several thousand Continuing
Professional Development delegates.
Simon Kear, Head of Technology Enhanced Learning, said:
“We are thrilled to be finalists for the 2017 Team Award and have our team recognised for the difference we’ve made since joining the Trust.
“With the support of Trust faculty and management, we were given a blank slate to implement best practice technology enhanced learning at the Trust, and we’ve worked hard to ensure the next generation of mental health professionals are given the tools they need to flourish in their learning.”
Current or former students, or staff members can show your appreciation for the TEL team by voting for them to win the ‘Community Choice’ award.
