We have a vacancy for two public governors in Camden, and two public governors in the rest of London, and we are seeking nominations now.

Nominations are now closed.

The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health trust that provides training and education alongside a full range of mental health services and psychological therapies for children and their families, young people and adults in London.

Our Council of Governors plays an important role in the decision-making process of the Trust. As a public governor, you will be committing to meet four times a year, participate in Board and other Committee meetings, to visit our services and carry out such other duties as may be necessary.

Governors cover a wide range of activity, often tailored to their particular skills and interests. For example, we have governor representation on our public and patient involvement committee – often governors who are the parents of our patients are interested in this committee where they can share their views and their children’s views about our services.

Public Governors can be patients, students, local residents or anyone who is interested in our work. They are elected by our non-staff members and are selected because of the skills and experience they can bring from ‘outside’ the organisation.

If you feel you have the skills and commitment to help us shape our future, we would be keen to hear from you.

To be eligible to apply for the Camden Governor vacancies, you must a resident and live in the London Borough of Camden.

To be eligible for the Rest of London vacancies, you must be a resident and live in any London Borough, except Camden.
