CAISS team shortlisted for Nursing Times Award
14 August 2017
Congratulations to the Camden adolescent intensive support service (CAISS) who have been short listed for the Nursing Times Awards team of the year category.
CAISS is a multidisciplinary team offering intensive support to young people in crisis to keep them safe and out of hospital. The new service was setup in April 2016 to address the growing need for intensive support for young people in Camden, and provide intensive support for young people (11 to 18) and families.
The team features experts from
different specialties who work together to assess and treat patients, including
nurses, psychiatrists, social workers and occupational therapists, and works directly with Camden’s community mental health service, local
schools and other children’s services.
Antonia Carding, CAISS Team Manager and Head of CYAF Nursing Discipline said:
"It’s an honour to be shortlisted by Nursing Times, and receive recognition for the excellent work of our multi-disciplinary team. We very excited and proud to have got this far!"
Now in its 27th year, the Nursing Times Awards recognises the dedication and innovative spirit found in nurses at all stages of their career.
