You may be interested to note that The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a very small, specialist mental health Trust, and not a hospital. We provide outpatient, and mainly psychological, services. We do not provide acute or inpatient patient services, nor provide walk-in appointments, and do not have an A&E department.

There are two roles that “specifically focus on the promotion of equality, diversity and inclusion”.

  • Associate Director of EDI – Band 8B
  • EDI Manager – Band 6

Please refer to our response to Q1 above, where we provided the banding and payscales for EDI Staff as the Trust does not divulge salaries of individual staff members below Executive Director level.

  1. The Trust’s total spend on diversity, equality and equity or inclusion training delivered by external training bodies and courses was £2,940 for annual membership with Inclusive Employers Ltd, who provide us with advise and training courses August 2023 to August 2024. This was renewed for a further 12 month period to August 2025 at £3,600.
